OUR FAVORITE HIKES!

Hiking in Sedona is an absolute must! We highly recommend using the AllTrails app on your phone to explore and research hikes that interest you ahead of time. Keep in mind that some trailheads now require parking at designated lots and taking the Sedona Trailhead Shuttle, as a few parking areas have been closed in recent years. You can find the shuttle map here to help you plan your adventure accordingly: https://sedonashuttle.com/trailhead-shuttles/

WHAT TO BRING

Water: Bring plenty of water to stay hydrated—definitely consider a hydration backpack.

Snacks: High-energy snacks like trail mix, protein bars, or fruit for quick energy boosts. Our favorite trail snack break always includes some premade hawaiian roll sandwiches!

Sun Protection: Sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, and lip balm with SPF to protect against sun exposure.

Good Footwear: Comfortable, durable hiking shoes or tennis shoes with extra good grip. FYI - depending on the trail, your shoes may end up turning red in color from all the red rock sand. It's tough to wash out as well — we've tried!

Portable Charger: For phones and other devices, especially if using GPS or apps.

Trekking Poles: Optional, but useful for balance and reducing strain on your legs, especially on rocky terrain.
